Mill City Museum Tour | Sunday, April 22, 2018 1:00 PM-4:00 PM
I called in our reservation Friday and tried to reserve for 30 people because if we count in the parents, we have 28. I was told there is a maximum of 25. That is due to space on the tour and in the "flour tower". The person with Mill City Museum said any people over 25 can try to get on another tour. You can do that where they sell tickets. Parents will need to try to get on their own tour. We currently have exactly 25 people. I am going to start a waiting list. If someone can't make it, we will take the waiting list in order.
Waiting List for Tour
Please pay Denise by cash or check ($10) when we meet up at Mill City. I will have more details about where to meet later in the week.
Also, Chris would like to go eat at the Spaghetti Factory at 4:00 if anyone is interested. It is one block from Mill City. I am going to create the event for Chris as he only uses his phone to connect and he is having trouble creating an event by phone.
Thanks to those who have signed up. We will have informative tour of the Mill City Museum. We will embark on a 2 hour tour which includes watching some interesting video.
We can wander around the riverfront when we are finished.
Cost $10/person for the tour and any additional spending money.

Up-Down Minneapolis | Saturday, March 24, 2018 1:00 PM-3:30 PM
Please Note!!!!!!!!!!! Due to the concern over St. Patrick's Day, the number of people attending, and the promotion by Up/Down on Facebook for St. Patrick's Day, I have decided to change the date to the following Saturday, March 24. Also keep in mind that 35W is closed on weekends so getting there will be a bit more tricky. Sorry for the change but it is the best for everyone. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 24th. Hope you can still make it. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Tyler and Joe loved this place!
Up-Down features more than 50 arcade games from the ‘80s and ‘90s, Pinball Machines, four Classic Skee-Ball alleys, Nintendo 64 console gaming, Life-Size Jenga and Connect four.
All games cost just 25 cents. That mean's, bring quarters.
Food is also available.
Cost: Whatever you want to spend
Afternoon at the Movies (Make up) | Sunday, February 25, 2018 2:00 PM-6:00 PM
The last movie date cancelled due to the weather. This is our rescheduled event. Fingers crossed the weather will be good!
Join us for an afternoon at the movies. We had this event a few years ago and everyone had a great time!
We will meet at a movie theater with several screens and members can choose their movie and attend with friends. We will find a time to meet that coincides with several movie times. This particular theater has a lounge area where everyone can meet-up. Movies will be posted as soon as the information is available.
Afterwards, we will go eat together and talk about the movies. We will eat at a nearby restaurant that has large seating areas and you can move around. It also has a bowling alley and arcade for anyone interested.
Cost for a movie and dinner will be around $30 depending on what you order for dinner. You will pay for your own movie and dinner right at the venue.
Please see the private member pages for additional information regarding location.

In the spirit of Valentines Day, let's pack some meals for those in need.
We will be volunteering for Feed My Starving Children from 2:00 - 4:00 on Saturday, February 10 but we need to arrive 15 minutes early so that is why the time has been posted to 1:45.
For those who would like to socialize after the event, we will meet at a nearby mall in the food court. Please let us know on the comments section if a family member will be with you. They are welcome to stay and help pack food.
Hope to see you there!
Grief Group | Monday, January 29, 2018 7:00 PM-8:30 PM
The Annual Grief Group is back. We have had such heartfelt conversations and everyone has left the meeting with some comfort and coping skills.
This year will be different. We are only going to concentrate on the losses you all face due to your disability. Examples for this could be your not being able to drive, your inability to not get the job you really want or be employed full-time, continuing to have some dependence on your parents, not being able to do things your siblings do, and the loss of confidence in dealing with certain situations.
It will be another wonderful evening of talking, sharing, listening, and support.
This will be led by the same grief counselors we have had in the past; Jenny and Katie.
The cost is free.
Parents are invited to a parallel meeting for parents.
Hope we see you at the meeting.
