Ugly Sweater Holiday Dance is back! | Saturday, December 14, 2019 7:00 PM-9:30 PM

Pull out that ugly sweater! The dance is back.  Remember ugly (or beauty) is to the eye of the beholder. If you dance hard and sweat, you may want to wear an ugly holiday T-shirt!
Cost: $10  (Used to offset expenses for space rental, DJ, and light snacks)
We have also invited the MICC graduate community to join us.  We had our yard games with that group.
Hope you can make it to the festivities!

Can Can Wonderland | Saturday, January 11, 2020 11:00 AM-2:00 PM

Let's have fun at Can Can Wonderland!  It seems to be an adult version of mini golf and arcade.  It has great reviews! Dating back to 1889, the building was home to the American Can Company, can manufacturer for many notable brands as Carnation, Campbell’s Soup, Del Monte, and Spam!
Date:  Saturday, January 11
Time:  11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  (trying to avoid evening crowds and winter night driving)
Cost:  Whatever your budget allows.  You will pay individually for whatever you want to do.  You can even have lunch!
Sounds like a fun activity on a cold winter's day.

This event is wheelchair accessible.

Feed My Starving Children | Saturday, February 22, 2020 2:00 PM-4:00 PM

It's that time of year when we want to share the love.....  One way we do that is by volunteering at Feed My Starving Children.
Date:  Saturday, February 22
Time slot: 2:00 - 4:00
Place:  See member pages
We can hang out and continue socializing at Eden Prairie Center after the event.  There is a great food court, adjacent movie theater, and shopping; whatever fits your interests.
Hope to see you for this always fun and rewarding experience.  Family members are welcome to join us.

This event is wheelchair accessible.

SeaQuest! | Saturday, November 9, 2019 5:30 PM-8:30 PM

Please join us to view this amazing display of sea life!  I am looking forward to this one! Thanks to Matt for this great suggestion!
Everyone will purchase their own ticket.  If you buy online, you save $2 and avoid a line.  You can actually purchase online the day of the event which is what I would suggest just in case you would get sick or would not make it to the event.   For this visit, you will want to purchase the single day passport which is $14.95 online. There is only 1 available slot left for swimming with the sting rays so that will not be available.  I am not sure either what time that would be.
People are loving this exhibit.  Hope you can make it.

Scavenger Hunt/Centennial Lakes Park and dinner at Q.cumbers | Saturday, October 5, 2019 2:30 PM-6:00 PM

PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE: Join us for a fun afternoon at the park.  In October,  no additional activities are available which would have included mini golf, paddle boats, and bocce ball.  Teams will be formed for a lively scavenger hunt!  This is always a favorite!  Meet at the fountain at the circle drive.
It will be cool with possible rain.  Please dress for the weather.  The amphitheater area is covered so if there is not a wedding, we can hang out there.
Our park activities will be followed by a dinner buffet at Q.Cumbers at 4:30.  This is a buffet restaurant and vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.  They have delicious food and great selections.
Cost: $14.75 for buffet dinner.  That includes beverage/dessert/everything.  A small tip can be left if you would like.
See you in the Park.

Adaptive Yoga (6:45-8 PM) CANCELLED | Friday, September 27, 2019 6:30 PM-8:00 PM

Event Cancelled.......We did not get enough people signed up.
PLEASE NOTE:  We need a minimum of 10 to have this event.  The date they need to know is September 16 so they can rebook the studio if we don't have enough people.
A member is planning "Whirlyball" this weekend and we have our Scavenger Hunt/Dinner on October 5 so there will still be events coming up.

Social Media and Cell Phone Safety | Monday, September 16, 2019 7:00 PM-8:30 PM

Social media and cell phones are a part of our everyday lives to stay in touch with friends and family. Though a great resource for us, social media and cell phones have many risks. If risks are not addressed, strangers may know the same information as our friends and families. In this workshop we will identify strategies to keep yourself safe while using social media and cell phones. Information handout provided. Presented by: Minnesota Independence College and Community (MICC)
There is a registration deadline for this event and space is limited. DEADLINE TO SIGN UP is Thursday, SEPTEMBER 12. You can sign up on our website and the information will be passed on to Janet Clarke with Learning Exchange.
Sounds like a great class for everyone!
